Sturgeon fishing on the Snake and Salmon rivers
When was the last time you came face to face with a prehistoric beast? The Sturgeon in the Snake and Salmon rivers live up to 100 years and can grow to be as big as 10-12 feet long weighing well over 1,000 lbs. They evolved over 200 million years ago and are unique in that they have changed little since this time. You are not allowed to remove these amazing beasts out of the water, but your guide will make sure you get a picture with your catch and that the long lived fish is safe and swims off after your photo shoot.
Our favorite Outfitter for this adventure is Kilgore Adventures. Kurt Kilgore currently holds the Idaho record for the largest Sturgeon catch and release with a massive fish that was over eleven feet long. All equipment and bait is provided.
